An auction set - a set of two stamps from the Grand Duchy of Finland from 1891.  The Grand Duchy of Finland (1809–1917) was an autonomous grand duchy, joined by personal union with and forming part of the Russian Empire. The head of state was the Russian Tsar.

    Description of stamps:  date of issue: 1891-05-01,  catalog codes: Mi:FI 36 / 41,  stamp series: Coat of Arms 1891 - Ring Type Issue,  face value: 2 / 14 Russian kopek,  size: 19 x 25 mm,  watermark: Cyrillic Letters and Wavy Lines (S),  printers: The Russian State Printing Works, St. Petersburg,  perforation: 14¼ x 14¾.

  The ring-type stamps were regarded as stamps of the Russian Empire, and the rings implied that they were intended for use in the Grand Duchy of Finland. Russian stamps (without rings) were also used for postage in Finland.

  I am dissolving parts of my private collection. Collector's exchange is possible.

   On the day of shipping the auction set, the buyer  will receive by e-mail a photos of the shipment (wrapped auction set, addressed envelope), a photograph of the post office receipt and tracking number.
