Beschreibung

The USA Half Dollar 1918 Illinois is a commemorative silver coin issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Illinois statehood (1818–1918).

Struck in 90% silver, the obverse features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, honoring his deep connection to Illinois. The reverse depicts a soaring eagle above a shield and banner inscribed “State Sovereignty, National Union,” symbolizing both state pride and unity.

This coin is notable as one of the early classic U.S. commemoratives and remains a popular piece among collectors.
