The USA Half Dollar 1928 Hawaii is a commemorative silver coin issued to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Captain James Cook’s arrival in the Hawaiian Islands (1778–1928).

Struck in 90% silver, the obverse features a portrait of Captain James Cook. The reverse depicts a standing Hawaiian warrior in traditional attire, symbolizing the native heritage of the islands.

With a relatively low mintage, this coin is one of the more desirable issues in the classic U.S. commemorative series and remains highly collectible today.
