Auction coin: 1992, Russia, a commemorative 5-Rubles coin: „The Mausoleum-Mosque of Akhmed Yasavi in the town of Turkestan (architectural monument of the XIV century - Republic of Kazakhstan)”.

   Features: BU (brillant uncirculated), composition: copper-nickel,  weight: 19.80 g,  diameter 35.0 mm, proof-like, Saint Petersburg Mint, mintage:  150,000 pcs.  Reverse: in the centre of the disc – the relief depiction of the Akhmed Yasavi's Mausoleum-Mosque and inscriptions. Edge: plain with two inscriptions  divided by two asterisks.

   The Mausoleum-Mosque of Akhmed Yasavi in the town of Turkestan (Republic of Kazakhstan) is an architectural monument of the XIV century. Akhmed Yasavi (around 1105-1166) was a Central Asian poet and preacher of Sufism – a mystic current in Islam. The collected of mystic religious verses "The Innermost" (published in 1878) ascribed to Akhmed Yasavi had an impact on the development of Turkic poetry.

   I am dissolving parts of my private collection. Collector's exchange is possible.
