Auction coin: 1995, Ukraine, 200 000 Karbovantsiv - Commemorative issue: „Hero-City of Sevastopol”.

  Features: composition: copper-nickel, diameter-33.0 mm, weight: 14.35 g. Mintage of 55,000 pcs. Mint: Moscow Mint, Russia. It is the fifth jubilee Ukrainian coin, introduced into circulation on August 23, 1995, withdrawn from circulation on September 17, 1996.

  It is the eleventh Ukrainian jubilee coin in order, introduced into circulation on July 10, 1996 and withdrawn from payment circulation on September 17, 1996.

  Obverse: there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the middle of the beads circumference decoration, framed with guelder-rose sprays. There are per five leaves and three bunch of berries on each spray. Upper bunch consists of seven berries, middle - of five, lower - of six berries. Above the State Emblem, there is the year of issue -1995 and inscriptions.

  Reverse: in the center there is depicted an Obelisk to the Hero-city of Sevastopol, erected on the high bank of the North Bay in honor of the perished warriors of Special Prymorsk Army, seamen of the Black Sea Navy, emergency volunteers and fighter battalion warriors , who had heroically defended the city against German-fascist invaders for 250 days - from November 1941 till July 1942. To the obelisk left against a background of sea waves, there is a monument to ships, sank when defending Sevastopol in 1854-1855. To the right there is a depiction of three rows of sea waves with a modern warship silhouette above tchem and inscriptions.    Edge: corrugate.
