Das Wort SPERANZA findet man nicht sehr oft auf diesen Stücken. Es wurde wohl nachträglich einpunziert.
The obverse has a bust of King Umberto I (b1844-d1900) surrounded by the Italian legend UMBERTO I RE D'ITALIA (Umberto I King of Italy). The date 1882 is at the bottom with the designer's surname SPERANZA on the truncheon of the neck. The reverse has the royal arms of Savoy which is composed of a central escutcheon decorated with a silver cross on red background, with the royal crown on the top. The escutcheon is surrounded by the the pendant collar of the Order of the Holiest Annunciation (Ordine della Santissima Annunziata) which is within a wreath. The order was one of greatest chivalric orders of all times. It was established in 1362 by Amedeo VI of Savoy (b1334-d1383). The collar is composed of a series of knots, symbolizing unity, and roses. The arms are flanked by the denomination 20 L. Umberto was assassinated by an anarchist.

Kay, bei dem 20 Lire Stück steht regulaer der Name des Münzmeisters am Hals.
20 Lr. 1882 R wurde 6,79 Mill. x geprägt.
Also ein sehr häufiges Stück.

Heinz,
bist Du Dir sicher mit "$" in meinem Katalog stehen die mit den selben Werten aber in Euro. Das wären ein paar Cent mehr aber bei Goldpreis bleibt es gleiche *g*

Aktuller Bankpreis heute: Ankauf 61; Verkauf 85 Euro. Also geringfügig mehr als die 20 FF (61/79) und die 20 Bfr. (60/79).
Ich würde 70 EUR bezahlen ....
