  • On 8 February 2023 the Czech National Bank is issuing 2008 version CZK 1000 banknotes with an additional print. The additional print is located on the obverse side and consists of the Czech National Bank’s anniversary logo and a facsimile of a CZK 1000 banknote stamp dating from 1993. The anniversary logo contains the texts “CNB”, “1993”, “30” and “2023”. The text “CNB” is printed in grey ink on the coupon. The other texts of the anniversary logo are printed in colour-shifting blue-green ink. The facsimile of the stamp is printed on the banknote in green ink. It is 23 mm long and 19 mm wide and its image is formed by a horizontally hatched number “1000” in the centre of an area hatched with vertical lines. Letters “M” are located in the corners of the stamp. The facsimile of the stamp is to the right of the anniversary logo. These banknotes have the same parameters as the 2008 version CZK 1000 banknotes.
  • The Czech National Bank will put into circulation a total of 200,000 pieces of the CZK 1,000 anniversary banknote. It will be possible to obtain the note from 8 February 2023 onwards in exchange for other Czech coins or banknotes worth CZK 1,000 while stocks last.
